What an AI calling agent really costs in India (2026)

Short answer: in India in 2026, published AI calling prices run from about ₹2 to ₹6 a minute, and developer platforms that bill each part separately can cost more. The headline per-minute figure matters less than what it includes — so here is how to read a quote.

The four parts of every price

  • Telephony — the phone line and the minutes on it.
  • Speech-to-text — turning what the customer says into words.
  • The language model — deciding what to say next.
  • Text-to-speech — the voice. Some platforms bundle all four; developer platforms bill each one separately.

What the platforms publish

Each company's own published pricing, checked on 11 September 2026:

PlatformPer minuteWhat that includes
NaCaller₹3–3.99Monthly plans with minutes included; a dedicated number is optional at ₹399/month; 10 free minutes
SquadStack₹2–5On enquiry; priced against outcomes; dialer and telephony included
Bolna₹5.52 (6.00¢)Standard rate; 4.51¢ at a larger commitment
Ringg AI₹6 per connected minuteSpeech, voice, model and telephony bundled; numbers ₹499/month
Vapi$0.05 platform feeTelephony, transcription, model and voice billed on top

What gets billed on top

  • Phone numbers — every platform charges monthly per dedicated number; NaCaller is ₹399, Ringg lists ₹499. On NaCaller it is optional: calls go out on NaCaller's numbers until you rent one.
  • Concurrency — how many calls can run at once (Vapi includes 10 lines, then $10 a line a month).
  • Analytics — sometimes per call (Ringg lists ₹2 a call for advanced analytics).
  • Minimum commitments — often required and not always published.
  • Minutes beyond your plan — NaCaller charges ₹3 a minute.

From per minute to per call to per lead

Most qualifying calls last one to three minutes. On NaCaller's Starter plan (₹1,995 for 500 minutes), a two-minute call costs about ₹8, and the plan covers roughly 250 such calls a month.

Cost per qualified lead depends on your list. As an illustration only: if one in five connected calls turns into a qualified lead, that is five calls — about ₹40 — per qualified lead at two minutes a call. Your own connect and qualification rates are what matter; measure them on the free minutes first.

AI versus a person

As a worked example with assumptions you should replace with your own: a telecaller on ₹15,000 a month, 26 working days, two hours of real talk time a day, is about ₹4.80 per talk-minute — before the phone bill, supervision and attrition. The honest split is to let the AI make the first calls, reminders and follow-ups, and keep people for the conversations that need judgement.

Five questions to ask any vendor

  • Is the per-minute price all-in — telephony, speech, model and voice?
  • Is there a monthly charge per phone number?
  • Is there a minimum commitment, and how much?
  • Are minutes counted per second, or rounded up per call?
  • Can I test on real calls before paying?
