What is Code-switching?
Also called: Tenglish · Hinglish
Code-switching is moving between two languages inside a single sentence, such as Telugu grammar carrying English words like 'seat', 'hostel' or 'EMI'.
It is not broken speech or a lack of fluency — it is the normal register of urban and educated India, and often the only natural way to say technical or commercial terms.
Why it matters for Indian calling. A system that expects one language per call mishears exactly the words that carry the meaning: the course name, the amount, the date.
