AI voice agents for clinics in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: reminders that cut no-shows

A clinic's empty slot is the cost of a patient who forgot. A short, polite call the day before, in the patient's own Telugu, is one of the most useful things an AI voice agent does. It calls, confirms or reschedules, and writes the answer down, so your front desk deals only with the exceptions.

What clinics use it for

  • Appointment reminders and confirmations, with a reschedule option.
  • Follow-ups after a visit: ‘how are you feeling, would you like a review appointment?’
  • Report-ready calls for diagnostic labs.
  • Health-camp and vaccination invitations to an existing patient list.
  • Reactivating patients who have not visited in a year.

A sample reminder call

“నమస్కారం అండీ, డాక్టర్ గారి క్లినిక్ నుండి మాట్లాడుతున్నాను. రేపు ఉదయం 10 గంటలకు మీ appointment ఉంది — వస్తారా?” — “Hello, I am calling from the doctor's clinic. You have an appointment tomorrow at 10 am, will you be coming?”

If the patient says they cannot, a well-written script has the agent offer the other slots you gave it and record the choice. If they ask a medical question, tell the agent not to answer, but to say the clinic team will call back.

What it costs

Suppose 400 reminders a month at about one connected minute each, which is 400 minutes. That fits inside Starter at ₹1,995 with 500 minutes included, about ₹5 per reminder, plus a one-time ₹1,499 setup fee on your first paid plan. Replace the 400 and the one minute with your own figures.

Privacy and rules to think about

  • Patient data is sensitive. Keep the call to what is needed (the appointment), and keep the script free of diagnoses.
  • Call inside sensible hours; NaCaller's default window is 9 am to 9 pm India time, and numbers that opt out are not called again.
  • Tell patients it is an AI in the opening line. You write that line, so make the disclosure part of it.
  • Use it for patients who have a relationship with you. Reminders to your own patients are different from cold calling.

What it does not do

NaCaller calls patients; it does not answer calls made to your clinic's number, so it is not a receptionist. Handing a call to a person is a warm transfer during a call it made.
