The cheapest AI voice agent in India: why the lowest per-minute price misleads (2026)
‘From ₹3 a minute’ is the number on every pricing page, and it is rarely the number on your invoice. The cheapest AI voice agent for you is the one with the lowest total at your volume, after the parts the headline leaves out.
The formula
- Monthly platform fee, multiplied by how many agents you need. Some vendors charge per agent; some include several.
- Calling minutes multiplied by the per-minute rate, minus any calling credit that comes with the fee.
- Phone numbers, if they are charged separately. NaCaller's own numbers cost nothing extra; a dedicated caller-ID number is ₹399 a month and optional.
- One-time fees. NaCaller adds ₹1,499 to your first paid plan; some vendors charge none.
- How a call is rounded. Connected time in 30-second blocks, whole minutes and ring time all bill differently. A 25-second reminder is very different under each.
- Minimum commitments. Some vendors require a monthly minimum they do not publish.
A worked example: 1,000 minutes a month
Figures are each company's own published prices. Bolna and Ringg AI were read on 11 September 2026 and Outpero on 26 September 2026; all can change. NaCaller: Starter at ₹1,995 includes 500 minutes, and the extra 500 minutes cost ₹3 each, so ₹3,495. Growth at ₹7,000 would include 2,000 minutes.
| Vendor | How it is priced | 1,000 minutes |
|---|---|---|
| NaCaller | Starter plan plus ₹3 a minute over 500 | ₹3,495 |
| Outpero (₹3 tier, launch price) | ₹1,899 every 30 days per AI employee, including ₹500 of calls, then ₹3 a minute | ₹4,399 |
| Bolna (standard) | 6.00¢ (about ₹5.52) a minute, bring-your-own-keys optional | ₹5,520 |
| Ringg AI | ₹6 per connected minute; a number is ₹499 a month; a monthly minimum applies (amount not published) | ₹6,000 plus the number and minimum |
Two things move these numbers. Volume: at 2,000 minutes NaCaller Growth is ₹7,000, and the per-agent fee matters more the more agents you run. Call length: if most of your calls are under 30 seconds, a vendor that bills in 30-second blocks beats one that rounds up to a minute. Outpero bills that way; NaCaller rounds each call to the minute, so short reminder calls cost NaCaller customers more per call than the headline rate suggests.
Questions to put to any vendor
- What is my total in month one and month three at my volume, in writing?
- Is the fee per agent or per account?
- Is there a minimum commitment or a setup fee?
- Do ringing and unanswered calls bill?
- What happens when my credit or minutes run out mid-call?
