What is Opt-out?

An opt-out is a caller's request not to be contacted again, which must be recorded and honoured from that point onward.

It can arrive in any language and any wording, and it does not have to be phrased formally. A system that only recognises an English keyword will miss most of them.

Why it matters for Indian calling. Honouring an opt-out spoken in Telugu or Hindi is not a nicety. Continuing to call after one is the most common source of complaints that escalate.
