What is DND registry?
Also called: DNC · do not disturb
The DND registry is India's official list of subscribers who have opted out of receiving commercial communications, which businesses must check before making promotional calls.
A large share of active Indian mobile numbers carry some form of DND preference. Scrubbing is expected before dialling, not after a complaint.
Why it matters for Indian calling. This is the single biggest reason a purchased contact list is not usable for promotional calling in India, whoever is doing the dialling.
